On Friday morning we left B&B Ruta 40, even though it was very tempting to stay. It was raining hard and we could have done our laundry if we had wanted to. The only reason we still decided to leave was the fact that the wind was blowing from the South, so we would have tailwind all the way to San Sebastian. And there was a lot of wind! The prediction was that the wind would change to Northeast the next day, which was good for us again because the road to Porvenir runs to the West.<\/p>\n
And it turned out to be a good decision. The wind was very strong, but because it was tailwind we profited from it. It would have been terrible to have to cycle with that wind in your face. Again, total emptiness and desolation. If we had waited a day we would have had to do it that way.<\/p>\n
We arrived at the border at San Sebastian around 3 pm. It was true that we could sleep there in the waiting area. It was warm, there was a small kitchen, chairs and a large wooden plankier on which we could put our matresses. We could also take a shower, a nice and hot shower.<\/p>\n
