But the next day it was time to go on. We wanted to try to get to Tolhuin, the next town on the route. It was about 60 miles from the estancia. And we had to go back on the same unpaved road as on our way over. Fortunately it didn\u2019t seem as bad this way. Immediately after there was the 1500 feet high Garibaldi Pass. Most of it with strong and cold headwind. After a cold descent, we expected a few more hills and flat terrain after that. But no, the whole road to the town was (again) up and down and up and down and with a strong headwind because it came from the opposite direction as it normally does\u2026 Very hard!<\/p>\n
On our way up the pass we talked to a guy from Switserland. He told us about the bakery in Tolhuin. We had already read a lot about it, but he also told us they let you sleep there for free. So sw really wanted to make Tolhuin. Not just because of the free sleeping, but also because we were curious for the bakery which is very famous among cyclists all over the world. After 8 hours and 15 minutes on our bikes (a total triptime of 11 hours) we finally arrived (exhausted) in Tolhuin where we found the bakery very quickly. There is a room with bunkbeds and a normal bed and a warm shower. Paradise on earth for us at that moment! Not long after, a guy from Buenos Aires arrived. He left Ushuaia yesterday. We had a nice evening. Because the legs were\/are very sore again, we decided to stay an extra day over here too. In the bakery they sell very good things to eat, it\u2019s warm and there\u2019s wifi.\n\t\t
