Yesterday, we took our bikes for a first spin over here. We cycled to the National Park Tierra del Fuego, which is about 15 miles from the city. Most of the road was unpaved and it went up and down a lot. A good practice\u2026 It is beautiful over there; lakes, rivers, snowy mountains, forests and the Beagle Canal. We cycled to the end of the road (and world!) on Ruta 3. It\u2019s the beginning of the road that goes all the way to Buenos Aires, which is about 2200 miles. So it starts in the most Southern tip of the country. From there it\u2019s less far to the Southpole, which is only about 600 miles. We looked around a bit, enjoyed the great views, took pictures and had a drink in a restaurant. The weather was great, it was cloudy but at times the sun peeked through the clouds. Our faces even are a bit sunburned now.<\/p>\n
It was a good thing, this little trip, because Linda\u2019s bike didn\u2019t shift gears very well. When the one gear was okay, some other wasn\u2019t working. We stopped over and over, turned the bike upside down again and again, but it nothing worked. Eventually we figured it out, fortunately, by trying something completely else. Something you\u2019re not really supposed to try because it\u2019s a setting that\u2019s not to be altered normally. But this time it did the trick\u2026\n\t\t
