After Pucara (hotals and restaurants) mainly flat again. After Santa Rosa the climb to Abra La Raya (4338 m\/ 13.000 ft) starts. A gentle and not steep climb but it can be very windy (headwind). Descent and flat to Sicuani. From Sicuani (all facilities) downhill and a few hills till 5 kms before Urcos. Then a climb, in (through) Urcos another (steep) climb and after a little descent another climb. Then down and flat till Cusco and in Cusco 200 m (gradual) uphill.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u2022 <\/b><strong>Cusco \u2013 Lima \u2013 Huaraz:<\/strong> we did this by bus. Till Nasca a lot of climbing, the coast was flat also the coast north of Lima. To Huaraz again a lot of climbing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<strong>Huaraz \u2013 Trujillo: <\/strong>paved till Can\u0303on del Pato. Hilly. Then unpaved till the coastal road. Can\u0303on del Pato is part with about 50 tunnels. Beautiful area, first high and snowy mountains, then 2 canons. Last part till coast and coast itself is pretty boring. In Trujillo to the Casa de cyclistas from Lucho.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<strong>Trujillo \u2013 Piura:<\/strong> bussed again. Very long and boring stretch through the desert.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<strong>Piura \u2013 border Ecuador (Macar\u00e1):<\/strong> till Sullana through the desert; flat and boring. Then hilly till Las Lomas. From there on even more hilly till the border.
